OVERVIEW

The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) supports day to day activities of assigned account(s), while coordinating effectively with client brand team and extended partners on development of tactics. Overview

OVERVIEW

The SVP, Director of Client Finance reports to the MERGE network CFO, and is the lead finance position across the MERGE network of three US offices.  This dynamic and analytical leader will be a peer and partner with the MERGE network accounting lead and also work particularly closely with the Chicago President to develop and refine processes and practices. This role oversees the group financial processes (budget, forecast etc), tools (client profitability, pricing etc), client contacts and analytics working closely with the finance teams in Chicago, Boston and Atlanta.  This role is also responsible for the financial administration of the Chicago agency, which is comprised of three unique elements: a specialized life sciences practice, a digital development practice and more typical agency work, including account, creative and media functionality. Future acquisitions are possible such that due-diligence and integration activity may be involved.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial management and analysis


  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets, forecasts and actuals.

  • Analyze and interpret financial data and present it to key partners, advising them of: performance versus budget/forecast including key budget sensitivities and recommendations to drive profitability

  • Work with account teams to improve client and resource management

  • Help develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive processes including risk management

  • Manage certain management reports, including Missing Time, Utilization and (Over)/Under service


Client finance & resource management

  • Oversee client profitability and work closely with project management to manage staffing and spending levels to optimize client profitability
